ORLANDO - The UCF men's golf team returns to action for its second event of the spring this weekend at the SunTrust Gator Invitational at University Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla. UCF will be one of 15 teams competing on the 6,701-yard, par-70 layout. The field will play 36 holes Saturday and 18 hole Sunday.

"I'm excited about the event this weekend," UCF coach Nick Clinard said. "I saw some good things out of the guys at Rio Pinar and I'm hoping their progress continues. We will face a tough field, but we are looking forward to the challenge."

The Golden Knights are coming off a fifth-place showing on its home course at the UCF/Rio Pinar Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday. UCF was 12th after the first round, but rallied to finish fifth. Freshman Greg Forest led the way for the Golden Knights. He tied for second in the individual standings at even-par 216 after matching the low round of the event with a 4-under-par 68 over the final 18 holes.

Forest will be joined in the lineup by senior Stefan Wistorf, sophomores Giwon Suh and Chris Anderson and freshman Kyle Davis.

Anderson tied for ninth in his collegiate debut at this event a year ago. He was the highest-finisher for the Golden Knights, who finished fifth in the team standings. Anderson competed as an individual at Rio Pinar and tied for 18th. Wistorf was UCF's next-highest finisher, tying for 32nd.
