DeLAND - The UCF women's golf team finished second at the Stetson Invitational Tuesday in head coach Emilee Klein's debut at UCF. The Golden Knights recorded their best tournament finish since their runner-up finish at the A-Sun Championships in April of 2002. UCF shot a three-round total of 927, 20 strokes behind tournament champion Campbell.

Two UCF golfers recorded top 10 finishes. Junior Lauren Motyl tied for second, her best career finish, with a 54-hole score of 225. Joining Motyl in the top 10 was senior Jess Trein, who tied for seventh (233). It was Trein's best career finish as a Golden Knight.

Two additional Golden Knights placed in the top 20. Freshman Mayule Tamimbang and senior Ashley Grier both tied for 17th (239). It marked the first time since 2002 UCF had four golfers in the top 20 of an event.

The Stetson Invitational marked the final event of UCF's fall tour. The Golden Knights return to action in February.
