Houston at UCF Post Game QuotesNovember 5, 2005Florida Citrus BowlOrlando, Fla.

UCF Head Coach George O'Leary
Opening Remarks:

"I am happy for the football team. I thought they played a good Houston team that had a lot of speed on the field and can make plays offensively. I thought we played typical of how we play. At times we could have had more points, we were shy on some field goals, but it was a heck of a win for them. I am real proud of how they played, going out on the last play and getting the big sack ... that sort of put the game away. It was a good win and they reached their goal, now we go out and set another goal."

On becoming bowl eligible:
"I said it in the preseason, that I thought we had the ability to get enough wins to get to a bowl, and that is six minimum. I don't know if that is good enough, but we have two games left and you play them one at a time. I am happy for the kids. I think this is a heck of a turnaround from last year. Obviously, a lot of hard work went into it. A good win and I am happy for the football team and the school."

Houston Head Coach Art Briles
Opening Remarks:

"I was really proud of our team. I thought we showed a lot of heart and courage. We were a bit rusty early but I thought we battled back really hard. I thought I did a bad job and the end. We had the opportunity to convert and we didn't."

On problems on final drive:
"Honestly, it was crowd noise. We changed the play at the line of scrimmage and crowd noise made it to where some guys were running one play and some guys were running another."
