Women's Golf Places Seventh at GSU/Pelican Preserve Invitational

FORT MYERS - The UCF women's golf team finished play at the GSU/Pelican Preserve Invitational with a seventh-place showing after the final round Tuesday. The Golden Knights carded a 54-hole score of 941 (+77), including a third-round score of 311 Tuesday.

USF won the team championship with a score of 907 (+43) while Campbell's Jaclyn Perlman shot a six-over-par 222 to win individual medalist honors.

UCF had four players finish in the individual standings. Senior Jessica Trein (Gainesville, Fla./Buchholz) finished strongly with a three-over-par 75 Tuesday to secure 17th place. Trein had the best round of the day for the Golden Knights.

Junior Holly Boot (Naples, Fla./Barron Collier) was 21st after carding a 78 Tuesday to finish the 54-hole event with a score of 234.

UCF returns to the golf course Monday, Oct. 24 at the Cincinnati Fall Classic.
