Football Practice Report - Scrimmage No. 2

Aug. 23, 2005

ORLANDO - The UCF football team completed a 96-play closed scrimmage Tuesday morning on the outdoor practice fields. The Golden Knights covered all three phases of the game, including kickoffs and punts on special teams, during the scrimmage.

"The second half the scrimmage we played with more urgency," stated UCF head coach George O'Leary. "The tempo was better in the second half than the first half."

For most of the day, the first team offense faced the second team defense while the second team offense competed against the first team defense. Both first team units also had the chance to lineup vs. each other for parts of the scrimmage.

A C-USA officiating crew worked the scrimmage as the Golden Knights came out of the morning injury free.
