ORLANDO - The Georgia State women's golf team fired a team score of two-under par 286 to lead after the opening round of play at the UCF Invitational at Stoneybrook Golf Course in Orlando Monday. The Lady Panthers, the defending champions, lead Rollins (289) by three strokes and third-place Florida International by 13 strokes (299).

Florida Southern (300), Florida Atlantic (308), Augusta State (311), Daytona Beach CC (313), Florida Gulf Coast (313), UCF (314), Stetson (322), Winthrop (326) and Troy (330) round out the standings.

In the individual standings, defending champion Pamela Feggans of Florida Southern fired a four-under par 68 to lead the event after one round. Florida International's Sofia Edman is one stroke back with a three-under 69.

The host Golden Knights are in ninth place after 18 holes. The lone UCF golfer in the top 20 is sophomore Lauren Motyl, with a four-over par 76. She is tied for 18th.

Play finishes with the final round Tuesday. Troy, Winthrop and Stetson tee off at 8 a.m.
