ORLANDO, Fla. - The UCF women's soccer team kicks off the spring schedule in Bradenton, Fla. where they will take on the Region III ODP at 9 a.m., IMG at 11 a.m. and USF at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 6.
The Golden Knights are coming off one of their best seasons after finishing 17-4-2 and earning an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Black and Gold were a perfect 9-0 against teams from the state of Florida during the 2004 campaign. UCF defeated USF, 5-0, and No. 12 Florida State in the regular season and No. 10 Florida in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The 2004 squad was led by freshman sensation Kendra Flock, who had 13 goals and three assists for a total of 29 points. Flock and junior Jennifer Montgomery led UCF in game-winning goals with four each. Junior Courtney Baines topped the Golden Knights in penalty kicks after netting 4-of-4.
When UCF takes the field in the fall of 2005, they will be competing in Conference USA.
