ORLANDO - Seven members of the UCF football team along with tight ends coach Eric Green were among the sports celebrities present at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center for the First Annual Jazz and Sports Extravaganza on June 5.

Benefiting A Gift of Hope, the event featured football teams from around the state of Florida as well as professional sports stars from baseball, basketball, hockey and football. Atari Bigby, Alex Haynes, Paul Carrington, Cedric Gagne-Marcoux, Brandon Marshall, Mike Walker and Steve Moffet were the Golden Knights who attended the gala. They made themselves available to interact with the children.

The evening, which was hosted by WESH-TV anchor Wendy Chioji, also included live and silent auctions, dinner and concerts by jazz artists Dan Doran and Jacqueline Jones.

A Gift of Hope is a local charity that provides medical care to critically and chronically ill children regardless of insurance coverage.
