Taras Stokes is a seasoned professional in sports broadcasting. He joined UCF Athletics in August 2025 as the director of broadcast production and technology at UCF Athletics.
Mr. Stokes brings more than two decades of experience in broadcast engineering and production. Since 2016, he has contributed to NBC’s Olympics coverage as a technical support engineer. From 2013 to 2022, he held leadership roles as director of engineering for both Florida State University's Seminole Productions and the University of Florida’s GatorVision.
Before joining UCF, Stokes served as an audio-visual specialist engineer within Florida State University’s IT department. His career began in 2000 with Denver’s Mobile TV Group, where he oversaw mobile broadcast engineering operations at remote events. He has also held engineering roles with Dome Productions in Toronto and NEP Broadcasting in Pittsburgh.
Stokes holds an Associate of Science degree from United Electronic Institute in Tampa, Florida, and is certified in IP Networking.
A lifelong learner, Stokes attributes his passion for growth and service to his faith. He is deeply committed to helping others reach their full potential and believes in living a life that inspires greatness in others. One of his personal aspirations is to earn a Ph.D. in physics and become a professor.
