Spencer Rubin joined the UCF Athletics #content staff in August 2023. He oversees the creative video services staff.
In May 2024, Rubin's work on the 2024 UCF football schedule release was recognized by the National Association of College Marketing Administrators as a finalist for the "Best Of" People's Choice Award-viral social category.
Prior to UCF, he spent one year at Mississippi State as the senior director of creative video for the athletic department, managing the day-to-day operations of his team and served as the primary video contact for the football, men's basketball, men's and women's golf and softball programs; along with department scale projects.
Before his time at Mississippi State, he made stops at Wake Forest, the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, and CommuteAir. At Wake Forest, he was a creative content producer working closely with the Deacons’ men's soccer and baseball programs.
With the Arkansas-Little Rock Athletic Department, he was the video and digital media specialist overseeing creative video content, graphic design, and many aspects of branding.
Rubin earned his bachelor’s degree in aviation management from Lynn University. At the Division II institution, he was an athletic communications assistant where he enhanced video production and broadcasts for the department for four years. He also acted as the primary color commentator for men’s and women’s basketball and did play-by-play commentary for the baseball program's productions. He broadcasted multiple games for the 2019 NCAA Division II basketball, volleyball, and men’s soccer tournaments.
