Shelanda Duncan joined UCFAA in June 2019 and currently serves as senior academic success coach, working closely with the women’s basketball, women’s soccer, men's golf and softball teams.
Prior to arriving at UCF, Duncan worked as an instructional assistant and later an academic support intern for the Stevenson Educational Center for Student-Athlete Development at Syracuse University.
Duncan boasts experience in a variety of campus life activities and groups, having previously served as an intramurals supervisor and resident assistant at Qunnipiac. She also served as a campus recreation intern at the University of Albany and a community development specialist for the Office of Resident Life at Onondaga Community College.
She is well versed in Greek Life as a member of the Kappa Delta sorority and also served as the interim program coordinator for Syracuse’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs.
Duncan is a member of the National Academic Advising Association, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals.
Duncan earned her bachelor’s degree in health science studies from Quinnipiac University. She has a master’s degree in higher postsecondary education from Syracuse University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in career and technical education from UCF. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and collecting Funko Pops.
