Ryan Zablonski joined the UCF Athletics grounds crew in October 2025 as a sports turf technician.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Zablonski got his start in the industry in 2023 with an athletic fields and grounds internship for the Buffalo Bills where he assisted with the daily maintenance of grounds and fields for Highmark Stadium Field.
He then went on to serve as a groundskeeper for the Buffalo Bisons, a Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Zablonski graduated with magna cum laude honors from State University of New York at Fredonia with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He is working toward a master’s degree from the University of Florida in sport management. He earned a certificate in turfgrass management from the University of Georgia.
