Mikaela Sites joined the UCF Athletics Association in August 2022 as an assistant director for the Knights Leadership Academy.
Sites previously served as a graduate assistant for the University of Mississippi’s campus recreation department where she oversaw a staff of 30 student employees and taught undergraduate courses. She also worked in Rebels’ athletics department as a social responsibility and engagement intern where she helped manage curriculum and programming related to career development, community engagement, personal advancement and diversity, equity and inclusion best practices for 400 student-athletes.
She was a member of the SEC Student-Athlete Enhancement Young Professionals group, N4A, and Women Leaders in College Sports and attended the 2022 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar.
Sites earned a bachelor’s degree in public health with minors in sport management and health promotion from the University of West Florida and went on to earn a master’s degree in sport and recreation administration from the University of Mississippi. In 2020, she was recognized with University of West Florida’s William M. Healey Award, which is bestowed to students who demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship, integrity, credibility and loyalty to recreation. In her free time, she enjoys working out, spending time outside, and drinking coffee. She is a proud aunt and hopes to pass her love of sports and music on to her nephew.
