Michelle Stenger was named Director of Discovery and Advertising at UCF in May, 2018. Stenger is responsible for marketing strategy and execution for the Knights, manages UCF Athletics' data warehouse, conducts marketing research, manages advertising materials for the department, oversees the Knights' digital advertising strategy and contributes to lead generation for season ticket sales, group tickets and corporate partnerships.
Stenger came to UCF after a stint with the University of Illinois Athletics Marketing and Promotions Department. With the Illini, she was hired as a digital strategist in April of 2015. Stenger came to Champaign after three-plus years of experience with the Cincinnati Bengals and the University of Cincinnati athletics department.
During her time with the Cincinnati athletics department, Stenger served as an assistant/associate director of marketing and strategic communications. Her primary roles included group sales to local youth sports teams, day-to-day management of the GoBearcats official social media accounts, supervision of the Bearcats Marketing Academy student internship program, coordination of Bearcat mascot appearances, and sport-specific marketing efforts for the football, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's soccer and women's lacrosse teams.
Prior to working at Cincinnati, Stenger worked as a ticket sales representative for the Cincinnati Bengals. She sold single-game, mini-packs, and season tickets to Bengals fans and focused on providing excellent customer service to those fans who called in to the Bengals Ticket Hotline.
Stenger earned her bachelor's degree in business (marketing) with a minor in interactive media studies from Miami University (Ohio) in 2012. She earned a master of science degree in advertising through the University of Illinois in 2017.
