Matt Oberlin has been a part of the UCF event management staff since August 2014. He was named assistant athletic director of event management in March of 2017.
In his current role, Oberlin will have oversight of all aspects of event management, including game day management, outside rentals, and daily operations for UCFAA. He is also the lead game administrator for men's basketball, men's soccer and baseball.
He came to UCFAA from Saginaw Valley State University where he was the assistant athletic director for facilities and events. Oberlin joined the SVSU staff in July 2007 as the ryder center operations and summer camp coordinator. At SVSU, he was also the chairman of the hall of fame committee since its inception in 2009.
His previous experience includes a stint as a facilities and operations assistant at Central Michigan University from 2005 to 2007.
Oberlin serves on the Board of Directors and is the Second Vice President for the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA).
The Geenville, Mich., native, received his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Alma College (Mich.) in 2005 and his Master's in Sports Administration from Central Michigan University in 2007.
He and his wife Emily currently reside in Orlando.
