Marcus Hilliard joined the UCF Family in June 2016. He was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Administration in the summer of 2017.
He previously served as the Director of Constituent Relations where he worked directly with the Vice President and Director of Athletics while also assuming development and corporate sponsorship responsibilities.
Prior to joining the Knights, Hilliard served at Duke University for seven years where he held a host of different positions in the Blue Devils athletics department. Most recently, Hilliard was the Director of Iron Dukes Varsity Club at Duke University where he oversaw sport specific giving for the Blue Devils. He was named the Director in February 2016 and previously served as the Assistant Director of Iron Dukes Varsity Club.
Prior to his stint in development, Hilliard held positions in administration, ticketing, and marketing and promotions. No stranger to intercollegiate athletics, his father, David Cutcliffe, is a long time college football coach having served as Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach at The University of Tennessee, and Head Coach at Ole Miss and currently Duke University.
Hilliard earned his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from The University of Tennessee in where he also served as a student football equipment manager. He completed his master’s degree in Sport Management from North Carolina State University in 2015. Hilliard is a native of Oxford, Mississippi.
