Lizzy Whitbeck joined UCF as Assistant Director for the Student-Athlete Welfare and Development in August 2016.
Whitbeck is responsible for the overall welfare and development of UCF student-athletes. She assists with facilitation in the holistic programming that her office produces on for all student-athletes year round. Whitbeck also focuses on providing community outreach and engagement opportunities for student-athletes and UCF Athletics staff members.
Prior to joining UCF, Whitbeck began her career working for the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club as the Community Outreach Intern coordinating community engagement opportunities for players during their off season.
Whitbeck is no stranger to UCF Athletics as she volunteered her time in many of the athletic departments during graduate school. In 2015 she earned her Master of Business Administration and Master of Sport Business Management in the DeVos Sports Business Management Program while serving as a graduate assistant for the National Consortium for Academics in Sports.
Whitbeck earned her undergraduate degree in journalism at the University of Arkansas where she was also a member and team captain of the women’s swimming and diving team.
