Kyler Barton joined the UCF Athletics Association as director of broadcast production and technology (EIC) for the production department in July 2021.
In his role, he is responsible for equipping and maintaining a state-of-the-art broadcast and production facilities, which includes developing and recommending technical standards to provide consistent functioning and compliance with ESPN, AAC, NCAA and FCC requirements. He assists in the planning of operational goals and best practices for UCF Athletics broadcast and production facilities. Barton also helps develop and implement training programs and best practices relative to technological advances and broadcast standards, to include basic electronic theory and troubleshooting.
Barton’s broad range of experience includes event coverage with the NBA, MLB, MLS, NFL, NHL, U.S. Open, NCAA Women’s Final Four. Outside of athletics, he has assisted with big-name productions including the People’s Choice Awards, Shark Tank and American Music Awards. He earned a bachelor’s degree in show production from Full Sail University.
