Kaylee Shores joined the UCF Athletics Association sports medicine staff in 2022 and was promoted to assistant director of sports medicine in July 2024. She is responsible for the baseball team.
Following a graduate assistantship in the Stephen F. Austin State sports medicine department working with the spirit teams, Shores was promoted in 2020 to assistant athletic trainer for the baseball and football teams and medical coordinator for the spirit team. She also served as an adjunct faculty member in the kinesiology department for two years.
As a student athletic trainer at West Texas A&M University, she worked with football, softball, women’s soccer, and women’s basketball and was selected in 2017 and 2018 by the Lone Star Conference for its Student Athletic Training Academic Award.
She has provided medical services to cheerleaders and dancers across the nation through Varsity Spirit Brands since 2016.
Shores graduated with magna cum laude honors from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. She went on to earn her master’s degree in kinesiology and human performance from Stephen F. Austin State University.
A native of Amarillo, Texas, Shores enjoys spending time with her Goldendoodle Marlee, playing guitar and snowboarding.
