Kathleen Murphy joined UCF in June 2017 as an assistant director in facilities and event management. She is the lead game administrator for women's basketball, volleyball and softball.
She came to Orlando after serving as the game operations and championships assistant at Duke. Murphy acted as the volleyball and baseball game operations manager and assisted with football and basketball games.
In June 2022, Murphy won the SPORTY award for Best in Venue Operations, bestowed by the Greater Orlando Sports Commission in partnership with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute.
Murphy played women's soccer at North Florida from 2009-13 and graduated in May 2014 with a degree in sport management. While working towards a masters degree, she spent time in the UNF facilities / operations, business services and academic support offices. She earned her degree in educational leadership in May 2016.
