Jon Brown joined the UCF Athletics staff in August 2019. He currently serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Championship Resources, Major Gifts. Brown brings nearly two decades of development and athletics experience to his position with the Knights.
Brown has a strong background in athletics development and strategic communications, with previous stops at Penn State, Furman, Baylor, and Clemson. In his role with UCF, Brown will focus on developing and maintaining strategic solicitation plans to enhance donations and expand the donor base. He will be responsible for a stewardship program for all athletics donors, and he will work closely with the athletics ticket sales and service department toward the achievement of revenue and service goals.
Prior to UCF, Brown served as Director of Major Gifts at Penn State University. There, he focused on the cultivation and solicitation of Major Gifts to support endowment, capital projects, and planned giving
efforts. Brown also spent six years (2009-2015) at Furman University as the Assistant Director of the Paladin Club, securing both Annual Fund and Major Gift support for athletics. In addition, Brown spent time at Baylor (2007-09) and Clemson (2003-05) in Strategic Communications roles.
Brown holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Furman University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Clemson University. He currently resides in Orlando with his wife, Jessica, and sons, Maxwell and Samuel.
