Jeff Chapman joined the UCF men’s basketball staff in June 2024 as video coordinator and assistant director of operations. He was promoted to director of operations in December 2024.
Chapman joined the Knights with more than 10 years of experience in collegiate basketball. He most recently served as an assistant coach and director of operations at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Prior to his time at Texas A&M-Commerce, Chapman spent five seasons at Wichita State, serving as a volunteer assistant during the 2018-19 season before transitioning to video coordinator, a role he held through the conclusion of the 2022-23 campaign.
Chapman worked alongside current UCF assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Tyson Waterman during their shared time at Wichita State from 2018-23.
Before returning to the collegiate ranks, Chapman spent the 2017-18 season at Minnetonka High School, serving as the junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant. He spent the 2016-17 at Tallahassee Community College as an assistant coach and academic coordinator.
Chapman began his career in basketball while attending Wichita State, joining the program as a student manager in the summer of 2011. He served as the primary manager for film coordination while pursuing degrees in history and ethnic studies and graduated in 2016.
During his time with the Shockers, Chapman was part of five NCAA Tournament teams. Wichita State advanced to the Final Four in 2013 and the Sweet 16 in 2015. The Shockers also recorded NCAA Tournament victories in 2014 and 2016 and earned a First Four appearance in 2021.
