Jayden Nelson joined the sports medicine team in June 2024.
Nelson started her career as a student assistant for her alma mater King University in 2021. While pursuing her graduate degree in Houston, she supported Rice’s football team from 2022-24 and worked with the University of Houston’s swimming and diving and track and field programs in 2023.
Her event experience includes the 2023 First Responder Bowl Game, Houston IRONMAN and Chevron Houston Marathon.
Nelson earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from King University (Tennessee) with cum laude honors where she also served as captain of the acrobatics and tumbling team. She went on to earn a Master of Athletic Training from the University of Houston.
