Head UCF Coach Rich Wallace welcomes back Jack Zyska to UCF baseball as the program’s director of position player development.
A 2024 team captain for the Knights, Zyska played and started all 58 games in right field that season for the Black and Gold. Zyska led the team in slugging (.565), on-base percentage (.420), home runs (15), runs batted in (52), runs scored (44) and sacrifice flies (6), and finished second in batting average (.319), hits (69) and walks (35). He also led the squad with 16 multiple RBI games and finished second in multiple hit outings with 21. He tallied 30 total home runs for his career along with 37 doubles.
Zyska capped his collegiate career by being named to the NCAA Tallahassee Regional All-Regional Team after batting .600 (9-for-15) with four doubles, two homers, three runs scored, eight runs batted in, and a 1.934 OPS at the 2024 NCAA Tallahassee Regional.
Zyska came to UCF after spending five seasons with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Zyska helped Notre Dame reach the NCAA Tournament twice (2021, 2022), which included a College World Series run in 2022. He holds a .236/.326/.445 career slash line and recorded 88 hits, 22 doubles, 18 home runs, 63 runs scored, 74 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame in 2022 in Business Administration and his master’s degree from Notre Dame in 2023 in Business Analytics. Zyska is originally from Berkely Heights, N.J., and is a graduate of Seton Hall Preparatory School.
