Emily Summerlin joined the UCF Athletics Association as an assistant athletic trainer in July 2021. Her main responsibilities include working with the volleyball and women’s tennis teams.
She previously worked with the University of Tulsa softball team and Northeastern State University football and women’s basketball teams. She has a certification in SASTM as well as suture and intravenous fluid application. She earned a diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace certificate from the University of South Florida in 2021.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Baylor University and a Master of Science in health and kinesiology from Northeastern State University. She is a licensed Athletic Trainer, a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, and American Red Cross CPR/AED certified as a professional rescuer and health care provider.
