Dr. Raquel Jones, LHMC joined the UCF Athletics department in August 2024 as a student-athlete mental health counselor. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Professional School Counselor.
Founder of Omni Elite Counseling and Consulting in 2023, Jones provides clinical mental health services to adolescents and adults. She previously served as a sport and performance psychology consultant for Florida Southern College and Southeastern University. Her experience includes three years as a mental health intake specialist with Lakeland Regional Health, a year as a mental health provider for AdventHealth and four years as a professional school counselor for the Polk County School Board.
She received her A.A. degree from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa where she also competed on the women’s volleyball team. She continued her education and athletic career at Georgia State University in Atlanta, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She received her master’s degree in mental health counseling and a certification in school/guidance counseling from the University of South Florida. She earned her doctoral degree in sport & performance psychology from the University of Western States and is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.
