Claire Haukap joined UCF Athletics in June 2021 and currently serves as Chief of Staff, working closely with Vice President and Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir to drive operational and strategic initiatives. As a trusted advisor and key department leader, she plays an integral role in shaping the department’s direction while ensuring alignment with UCF’s broader athletic and institutional goals.
In her role, Haukap provides governance leadership as the Corporate Secretary for the UCF Athletics Association Board of Directors, overseeing public board documents and managing quarterly board meetings. She is also responsible for the daily operations of the Athletics Director’s office, coordinating staff schedules, setting departmental priorities, and ensuring seamless execution of key initiatives.
A highly skilled administrator, Haukap has been instrumental in overseeing major facility projects at UCF, including Roth Tower, Hagle Gateway, McNamara Cove, and the Wayne Densch Athletics Center. Most notably, she played a leading role in coordinating the groundbreaking event for the $90 million Roth Tower at FBC Mortgage Stadium in December 2024. Her meticulous planning and attention to detail ensured a successful launch for this transformative project, which is set to open in August 2026.
Haukap’s responsibilities also extend to budget administration, stakeholder relations, and policy compliance, ensuring that UCF adheres to NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and UCFAA regulations. She also plays a key role in event and hospitality management, serving as the primary liaison with visiting athletics directors and overseeing operations for the Athletics Director’s Suite during football and basketball games.
Prior to joining UCF, Haukap served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Administration at Arkansas State University. In this capacity, she was responsible for enhancing the game-day experience, managing premium seating, and overseeing event rentals at Centennial Bank Stadium. She also played a crucial role in the successful completion of the $25 million stadium expansion and the $27 million North End Zone expansion, working on budgeting, donor relations, and project execution.
Haukap's expertise in donor relations and event management stems from her time as Assistant Director of Donor Relations with the Red Wolves Foundation at Arkansas State. There, she led stewardship initiatives, managed large-scale fundraising events, and fostered strong relationships with donors, helping to drive philanthropic success for the athletic department.
A proud graduate of Arkansas State University, Haukap holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management. She began her career in higher education as a recruitment advisor, where she developed strong communication and relationship-building skills—attributes that continue to serve her well in her leadership role at UCF.
A native of Van Buren, Mo., Haukap is married to Adam Haukap, who serves as UCF’s Senior Executive Associate AD and Chief Revenue Officer.
