Edwards, a former collegiate goalkeeper, works primarily instructing the keepers at UCF. He also assists with various administrative roles.
He played goalkeeper at the University of Louisville from 2004-08.
A native of Lilburn, Ga., Edwards started 20 games in net during his playing career at Louisville. The two-year starter was a member of the 2007 Louisville team which advanced to the semifinals of the Big East Tournament and the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Edwards graduated in the spring of 2008 with a bachelor[apos]s degree in sports administration. He was a member of the Big East Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll in 2006 and 2007.
Despite being a recent graduate, Edwards has compiled coaching experience at the club level. He coached the Oldham County Thoroughbreds in 2008 and 2009, serving as the head coach of the U-10 and U-12 boys[apos] teams while also serving as the head goalkeeping coach of the top club level squad.
