Carlos Philips serves as the director of graphic media at UCF. He has created motion graphics and graphic art for programs and departments since 2012.
Before coming to UCF, Phillips worked as a freelance front-end web developer and designer, and 3D artist. He also interned a DNP Studios where his interests in motion graphics peeked, leading to a position as a 3D artist with Anderson Mobile Estates.
The Winter Park, Fla., native graduated from the University of Florida in 2009 with a degree in telecomunications. Phillips was a two-time All-American for the Gators Track and Field Team.
On the track, he achieved two SEC titles and was the 2008 NCAA East Regional Champion in the 800 meters. Phillips also represented the USA after his U.S. Olympic Trials performance at the 2008 NACAC Championships, earning bronze in the 800 meters.
