Head coach Rich Wallace announced Brandon Burgess as UCF baseball's video coordinator in the summer of 2025.
As the Video Coordinator for the Black and Gold, Burgess oversees all aspects of the program’s video operations, technology integration, and analytical support. Known for his sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of the game, Burgess plays a key role in helping the Knights prepare, compete, and develop at the highest level.
In his role, Burgess manages game and practice film, builds scouting reports, and collaborates closely with the coaching staff to deliver advanced video breakdowns and data-driven insights. His work supports player development, opponent analysis, and strategic decision‑making throughout the season. Burgess also leads the program’s use of cutting‑edge tools such as Synergy, BATS, TrackMan, and other performance‑tracking technologies.
Burgess is no stranger to UCF baseball, as he spent four years as a student manager for the program (2021-25). He had in hand in all aspects of the program during his time as a manager--from assisting in hitting drills, helping coordinate practices, to planning drills to work on with players, assisting in uniform needs, recruiting, video breakdown, as well as analytics and statistics.
He also spent time as an assistant baseball coach for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs of the Florida Collegiate Summer League over the 2024 and 2025 seasons as well as a Remote Baseball Scout for Synergy Sports in 2023.
Burgess is originally from Lithia, Fla., and is a graduate of Newsome High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from UCF in Integrated Business in 2025.
