Andrew Blaylock joined the UCF football staff in June 2022 as special assistant to head coach Gus Malzahn.
Blaylock spent the previous six years at Appalachian State as director of player personnel, overseeing the recruiting department for the Mountaineers’ football program. He also worked at Louisville (2011-14) and Texas State (2015) in recruiting and player personnel.
Blaylock was a member of the Florida football program from 2006-10, joining the team as a walk-on quarterback. He appeared in one 2008 game as a receiver. He graduated from Florida with a bachelor's degree in recreation and event management. From Durham, North Carolina, Blaylock attended Durham Jordan High School and graduated as Jordan’s all-time career passing leader (3,422 yards) and single-season passing leader (1,612 yards in 2005).
