Alex Cesarano returned to the UCF Athletics staff in May 2021 as assistant athletics director of brand experience and was elevated to associate athletics director in January 2022. He had previously been with the Knights from 2015-20.
Prior to his return, Cesarano was associate athletics director for marketing at Florida Atlantic University, overseeing the department's marketing and fan development efforts.
He began his career at UCF in December 2015 as assistant director of fan development, was promoted to associate director of experiential innovation in 2018, and was elevated to director of experiential innovation in 2019. He covered baseball, women's soccer, men's basketball, and football during his first tenure with the Knights, overseeing all aspects of marketing and fan development, and assisting in advertising initiatives for the athletics department.
A native of Miami, Cesarano graduated from Florida International University with bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. As a student, Cesarano held roles in marketing and sponsorship for the University of Miami athletics department.
He also served in various roles within the Virginia Tech athletics department, as well as the Miami Marlins and the Miami Dolphins organizations.
