Aleaha Evans joined the UCF Athletics Association as an athletic trainer in the Fall of 2019, working primarily with the Knights softball team. She was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Trainer in July 2024.
Evans came to UCF after spending three seasons working in the National Professional Fastpitch (NPF) league as the head athletic trainer for the USSSA Pride softball team out of Viera, Florida. Prior to that, she was a graduate assistant in the sports medicine department at Texas State University, working primarily with the cross country and track & field teams.
During her time with the USSSA Pride, the team won two national titles. While working with Texas State cross country and track & field, the team earned five conference titles.
Evans earned a Master of Science degree in athletic training from Texas State University in 2019. Evans earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from UCF in 2017, where she gained experience with the women’s soccer, football and men’s and women’s basketball programs.
Evans is a licensed athletic trainer, a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, and American Red Cross CPR/AED certified as a professional rescuer and health care provider. While at UCF, Evans gained certification in Neurologic Dry Needling for Pain Management and Sports Rehabilitation through an Integrative Dry Needling course.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Evans enjoys playing sports, watching movies, and traveling.
