Alana Rios Sanchez ’22 joined the UCF Athletics Production crew as assistant director of broadcast production and technology in July 2025. She assists in managing the technical support, installation, repair, and maintenance of key, complex infrastructure components within broadcasting and multimedia production of UCF Athletics sporting events.
Prior to her full-time appointment, Rios gained experience within the department working as a part-time as a broadcast engineer for two years and a camera operator for two years.
She also gained experience as a freelance broadcast engineer for the Orlando Magic and worked on seasonal projects for Universal Orlando Resort.
Rios earned a bachelor’s degree in Radio-TV production from the University of Central Florida. She is currently pursuing another bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
