Abraham Wade was promoted to assistant director of business & finance in November 2023 after spending six months as a staff assistant in the department.
Prior to joining UCF, Wade gained experience as a graduate assistant for The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport, which produces an annual Racial and Gender Report Card for the NFL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, MLS and college sports. As a strategic partnerships graduate assistant for AdventHealth, he collaborated with Orlando's Guardians (XFL), Magic (NBA), and Solar Bears (ECHL).
A former football student-athlete, Wade earned his bachelor's degree in rhetoric and a minor in economics from Wabash College (Indiana). He was recognized as a member of the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society in 2022. In December 2023 completed his MBA and master's in sports business management from UCF's DeVos Sport Business Management program, which boasts a reputation as one of the top sports business programs in America and among the top-10 globally.
