Patrick O'Donnell III, MS, LAT, ATC, CES, joined the Knights sports medicine staff in the summer of 2018. O’Donnell currently provides care as the athletic trainer for the men's soccer program.
Prior to his current post, he worked with the men's and women's tennis and spirit teams from 2020-24. as a graduate assistant with the Knights football program from 2018-2020 while earning a master’s degree in kinesiology from the university. He currently serves as a preceptor in the UCF Athletic Training Education Program.
O’Donnell obtained his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Purdue University in 2018. While at Purdue, he assisted in providing health care to Boilermaker football, wrestling, swimming, and diving programs. From 2016-2017, he served as an intern for the Indianapolis Colts.
O’Donnell is a NATA Board Certified athletic trainer and is licensed by the State of Florida. He has also been certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
A native of Highland, Ind., Patrick now resides in Orlando, Fla.
