Logan Hasselbach joined UCF Athletics as a strategic communications assistant in January 2023. She handles the day-to-day media relations and communications efforts for the women’s soccer and women’s tennis teams and is the secondary media contact for the men’s golf team. Hasselbach also works with all Olympic sports in creating content for social media channels. Before joining the staff as an assistant, she worked as a strategic communications intern in the fall of 2022, assisting with all home events for fall and winter sports.
Hasselbach directed the media relations efforts for UCF’s top-15 ranked women’s tennis program during the spring of 2023, which saw the team advance to the American Athletic Conference finals and earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. She also assisted in hosting the AAC Championship and NCAA Team and Individual Tennis Championship at the USTA National Campus.
Hasselbach oversaw the communications effort for the women’s soccer team in its inaugural season as a member of the Big 12 Conference. The program advanced to the semifinals of the Big 12 Championship in its first year after upsetting fourth-seeded TCU in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The first Big 12 win in school history belongs to the women’s soccer team, who defeated 2022 tournament champions West Virginia, 4-2, at home.
Before coming to UCF Athletics, Hasselbach worked with the Tampa Bay Rays as a Social Media Intern and the Pittsburgh Penguins as a Digital Media Intern. With the Rays, she assisted with the day-to-day operations of the Rays socials media channels, as well as revitalizing the @RaysRaymond mascot account. In Pittsburgh, she developed copy for special event nights and promotional partnership posts and updated the Penguins website with new staff members and ticketing promotions.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Hasselbach graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing, while also taking classes within the Sports Business Management minor.
