2007-08: One of four Knights named All-Conference USA after earning a spot on the second team...Led the Knights with 10 appearances during the season, including earning a victory at the NorthShore Shootout, which was a tri-match vs. Florida and Bethune-Cookman...Also led all Knights with four rounds of par or better during the season...Finished the campaign second on the squad with a 76.55 stroke average in 29 rounds of play...Posted her best finish in a full-tournament field at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic in March, placing fourth with a career-best score of 216 (E) for 54 holes...In the second round in Baton Rouge, carded a 70 (-2), which equaled the low round by a Knight during the season (Tomimbang; NCAA East Regional)...Was the team[apos]s top finisher at the UCF Challenge, tying for 31st after carding a 220 (+4) on the Knights[apos] home course at the RedTail Golf Club.
Spring 2007: Finished as the top UCF performer at the Florida State Championship in 5th place...Recorded the second best score for UCF in the Liz Murphy Invitational finishing in a tie for 45th place overall...Tied for 33rd place at the Gator Invitational...Competed in the UCF Challenge finishing in 63rd place...Finished in the top spot for UCF in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in 32nd place.
Prior to UCF: Connelly spent her freshman year at the Ohio State University. She earned the New Buckeye Award in her only season at OSU and posted the lowest-scoring average by a Buckeye freshman since 1982. Connelly earned second team All-Big Ten honors. She placed in a tie for 13th at the Big Ten Championships helping the Buckeyes place second overall.
She prepped at The Pendleton School at the IMG Sports Academy in Brandenton, Fla. and was a three-time Maryland High School state champion. Connelly was a four-time Anne Arundel County High School champion as well.
Personal: Stephanie Connelly was born in Baltimore, Maryland and is the daughter of Michael and Alicia Connelly. She graduated in May, 2009 a degree in political science.
