Annabel Silk is a skilled golfer who has improved each season at UCF. If that trend continues, she could have a break-out year for the Golden Knights. She is expected to challenge for full-time spot in the lineup this year.
Spring 2007: Competed in both the Lady Puerto Rico Classic and the UCF Challenge.
Fall 2006: Did not compete.
As a Sophomore (2005-06): Silk made good strides during the year, lowering her stroke average by more than four shots from the previous year. She improved as the season went along and finished with a bang, recording a career-low even-par 72 in the final round of the Conference USA Championship. She qualified for four events and played 11 competitive rounds. She recorded one top-20 finish, tying for 20th at the C-USA Championship.
As a Freshman (2004-05): Silk saw action in five of the 11 events in her first year in the UCF program. Her low round of the year was a 7-over 79 and her best finish of the year was a tie for 23rd in the Hatter Fall Classic, where she competed as an individual.
Prior to UCF: Silk was a three-year letterwinner at Millfield High School in England and was a member of Corhampton Golf Club ladies and junior teams. She was also a member of the England U-18 team. She also played netball in high school and was awarded three academic commendations.
Personal: Annabel Mary Silk was born in Winchester, UK, and is the daughter of Simon and Nikki Silk. She is an English/creative writing major.
