Jenna Osborn joined the UCF athletics strategic communications staff in September of 2022 as an assistant director. She handles the day-to-day communications responsibilities for volleyball, women’s basketball and women’s golf.
In her two years as an SID with the Knights, Osborn has managed the publicity efforts for a conference championship volleyball team, NCAA regional women’s golf team and a women’s basketball team that marked the best start in program history, along with hosting the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament in Orlando as the assistant to the media coordinator.
Osborn previously worked at Shorter University as sports information director and senior woman administrator for three years, responsible for 21 NCAA Division II teams. Along with assisting the athletic director in hiring of head coaches for the department.
A former collegiate softball student-athlete, she (VanHoose) was an outfielder at Urbana University. Throughout her four years at Urbana, she assisted in the sports information department during the fall and winter seasons. Throughout her time at Urbana, she helped with capturing photos at sporting events and writing recaps, along with spearheading the school’s first Team IMPACT recruit which consisted of inviting media to a press conference, running the press conference and writing the signing release.
The Bellefontaine, Ohio, native graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a minor in Exercise Science in May of 2019. She went on to earn her Master of Business Administration in Sports Management at Shorter in December 2020.
Prior to her senior year of college, Osborn was a team operations intern for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs, a summer collegiate baseball league, in the summer of 2018.
