Karen Del Carpio was named to the UCF men's basketball program staff in the role of Assistant Director of Basketball Operations in April of 2016, following two seasons in the same role for the Knights' women's program.
She graduated with her bachelor's degree in business administration from Bethany College (Kansas) where she served as a captain and an all-conference honorable mention for the women's basketball team.
In addition to suiting up for the women's team from 2012-14, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native assisted Bethany's men's basketball team as a manager in her spare time. She performed a variety of tasks and roles with the Swedes, including assisting with the team's daily operations, academic monitoring and success of student-athletes in the classroom and editing athletic publications.
Before attending Bethany College, Del Carpio played basketball for Southeast Community College (Nebraska) from 2010-12. She led her team to conference and regional championships as well as its first appearance at the national championships.
