Joe Prater Jr. enters his first season as Director of Operations for the UCF softball program. In his position, Prater will assist in all facets of the program, including travel, supervising managerial staff, scouting reports, camps, clinics, and alumni relations.
Prater is a retired serviceman of the U.S. Navy where he served 21 years. During his service, he was a trained technical leader with experience in aviation operations, logistics, maintenance, management, quality assurance, safety and training.
Most recently, Prater served two seasons at Buffalo as a volunteer assistant for the softball team.
Prater received his education from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he graduated Magna Cum Lade with a Bachelor’s of Science in Professional Aeronautics with a Management minor. He received his Master’s in Aeronautical Science in May 2015.
