Nicole Trimboli

Nicole Trimboli joined the UCF softball coaching staff in October 2009 as an assistant coach. Trimboli came to UCF after serving as the assistant coach at Portland State during the 2008-09 season. While with the Vikings, Trimboli helped lead the softball squad to the Pacific Coast Softball Conference title, matching its best league-mark with a 15-5 record, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Prior to joining the staff at PSU, Trimboli spent two seasons as the assistant coach at Division II Colorado School of Mines, where she helped the team post a 38-19 record and a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship in 2008. At the conclusion of the team[apos]s most successful season on record, Trimboli and the rest of the CSM staff was recognized as the RMAC Coaching Staff of the Year. In 2006, Trimboli served as an assistant coach at the University of Maine, after embarking on her first year in the coaching relms in 2005 as the volunteer assistant at her alma mater, Nebraska. A four-year letterwinner with the Cornhuskers, Trimboli was a three-time All-Big 12 honoree and garnered All-Midwest Region accolades on two different occasions. In 2002, she helped lead her team to the Women[apos]s College World Series, while her squad also earned Big 12 titles in both 2001 and 2004. Following her successful collegiate career at Nebraska, Trimboli ranked in the program[apos]s top 10 in 10 different categories and was named to the Big 12 Tenth Anniversary Team in 2006. The outfielder continued her playing career in the professional ranks after being drafted by the Akron Racers of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league in 2004. Trimboli was named a NPF All-Star as a rookie, before helping her team to the NPF Championship in 2005. Trimboli played her final three seasons in the league with the Chicago Bandits, where she garnered a spot on the NPF All-Star team and led her squad to the NPF Championship title both for the second time in her career in 2008. For her play during the Championship series that season, Trimboli was named the NPF Championship MVP. A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., Trimboli earned a bachelor[apos]s degree in education and family sciences from Nebraska.
