Brice Crossley joined the UCF women[apos]s rowing staff as a volunteer coach during the spring of 2002.
Crossley started rowing at UCF on the club team during the fall of 1983 and was one of only four 4-year oarsmen in 1987. He graduated in 1987 with honors with a bachelor[apos]s degree in computer science. While rowing for UCF, he won at the Dad Vail Regatta in 1987 in the Men[apos]s Lightweight 4+ event. He was also selected by the team that year for the Craig Sanders Spirit Award.
Crossley began his coaching career with the UCF novice program in 1988 and moved on later that season to help with the Lake Brantley High School program. After completing a master[apos]s degree in business administration, Crossley resumed coaching in 1991 as the head coach of the Satellite High School crew team. He continued as head coach when that program joined with Eau Gallie High School to form Space Coast Crew in 1996. He stopped coaching in 2001 to work on a second master[apos]s degree.
Crossley, a USRowing Level II Coach, is also a licensed USRowing referee. During his free time, Crossley continues to row competitively, most recently winning two gold and two silver medals at the 2005 USRowing Master National Championships. He has been an executive board member of the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association for the past 13 years.
Crossley works at the Kennedy Space Center.
