As a Sophomore (2005-06): Selected to the Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Academic Honor Roll... the only Knight who played in all 11 events... finished second on the team with a stroke average of 74.3, which was almost a full stroke lower than the previous year... tied Sonny Nimkhum for the team lead with nine rounds at par or better during the season and finished with four top-20 showings... tied for 14th in the season-opening Inverness Intercollegiate... at the Gary Koch Invitational, tied for seventh at four-under 212... picked up another top-10 finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate in the spring... shot a three-under 69 in the first round and wound up tied for eighth at two-under 214... tied for 17th at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate... in the final round of the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, tied a career-low with a four-under 67.
As a Freshman (2004-05): An Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team selection... played in 12 of the 13 events during the season... finished third on the team in scoring with a 75.02 stroke average... was second on the squad in sub-par rounds with six and registered a pair of top-20 finishes... best individual showing came at the Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate, tying eighth at two-over... was UCF[apos]s top finisher at the Augusta State Invitational with an 11th-place showing... lowest round of the year came in the opening round of the A-Sun Championship, shooting a four-under 67 en route to finishing in a tie for 14th... shot a final round of two-under 69 at the NCAA East Regional to tie for 39th in the individual standings with teammate Ben Leong... following the season, advanced to the first round of match play in the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
Prior to UCF: Competed for Windermere[apos]s Olympia High School, leading to the state championship in 2003... finished second in the state individual standings, was named player of the year by the Florida High School Athletic Association and was tabbed as the Orlando Sentinel Central Florida Player of the Year... had a successful junior career, earned second team American Junior Golf Association All-America honors... posted four top-five finishes on the AJGA circuit, including a runner-up showing at the Chrysler AJGA Boys Invitational and a tie for sixth at the Polo Junior Classic... also finished runner-up in the Florida State Junior Championship and was ranked as high as eighth in the country by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard.
