- His father, Victor Rojas, was also a longtime MLB play-by-play broadcaster for 18 seasons (Rangers and Angels) and also the former President/GM of the Frisco RoughRiders (Double A).
- His grandfather, Cookie Rojas, was a five-time MLB All-Star and played 16 seasons in the Major Leagues. He also later coached and scouted for numberous teams and also a broadcaster for the Marlins.
- His middle name is Hobbs and was named after Roy Hobbs from the movie The Natural.
