Michael Agis joined Rich Wallace's staff as the program's director of player development in February of 2024.
As the director of player development, Agis works closely with the team's pitching staff. During game play, he can be found in the bullpen getting pitchers ready to enter the ballgame.
Agis comes to UCF from San Antonio, Texas, where he most recently spent three and a half years as a baseball coach and teacher at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School. Prior to Johnson HS, Agis spent a year as an assistant coach at East Central High School in San Antonio.
Agis played collegiately at Broward College (2013-2015) and Florida International University (2015-17). The right-handed pitcher received all-conference honors at Broward in 2015 and earned a bachelor's degree from FIU in sport management in 2017.
Following his college career, Agis was drafted in the 36th round by the Colorado Rockies in June of 2017. He went on to play two seasons (2017-2018) in the Rockies organization.
