-Played with current Knight Shane Brown for the Mat-Su Miners of the Alaskan Baseball League in the summer of 2009
-Member of the Seminole State College of Florida baseball team under coaches Mike Nicholson and Chris Hayes
-Named to the All-Mid Florida Conference First Team and the all-academic honor roll, as well as the Florida Community College Activities Association All-Academic Team in 2009
-Led all pitchers in 2009 with eight wins, 14 starts, 91.1 innings, four complete games and 81 strikeouts
-Named the school[apos]s Male Athlete of the Year in 2008-09
-The FCCAA Pitcher of the Week after a complete-game win over Florida CC April 3, striking out 11 and issuing no walks
-Pitched for Lincoln High School and coach Joe Vallese
-Posted a 1.67 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 29.2 innings as a senior, leading the Trojans to the district title and the regional semifinals
-All-Big Bend Honorable Mention as a junior
-Also competed for the North Florida Legends travel squad, going 3-1 with two saves and a 0.81 ERA to help the team win the Great South League championship
