Prior to UCF: Racked up three letters while playing for Winter Springs High School and head coach Jeff Perez...Completed senior season with a .263 average and eight RBI...Led Winter Springs with a .421 batting average as a junior to help WSHS go 25-2...Also was the team leader with 95 at-bats, 40 runs scored and seven doubles...Posted an OPS of .968...Was an all-county and all-conference selection in 2007, and earned the team[apos]s most valuable player and scholar-athlete award...Had a 24-game hitting streak as a freshman and finished with a .383 average...Competed in the Perfect Game USA National Underclass and the 2005 SE Underclass Showcase...Participated with the 17-U Orlando Scorpions, which won the BCS national championship.
