After finishing a stellar two-year career as a reliever at UCF, Dominic Petracca was a student assistant coach for the Knights in 2007.
Petracca concluded his senior season by tying for second on UCF[apos]s all-time single-chart with eight saves in 2006. Combined with his four saves in 2005, he ranks fourth on the career leaderboard with 12. Petracca led the Golden Knights in appearances during his senior year (27), while he posted a 2.08 ERA, struck out 37 and walked just five in 39.0 innings of work.
The right-hander from Sanford, Fla., came to UCF following a short stint at Daytona Beach Community College.
